Description : It is an evergreen tree or shrub with white flowers.
Medicinal properties & Chemicals present :
Its principle constituents are the three alkaloids viz. toturine, toturidine &
colloturine. The astringent bark of the stem is used to alleviate itching
and inflammation that accompany acne. It has got anti- pyretic and
hypothermic properties which help reducing elevated temperature around
acne and pimples.
